3 Reasons Why You Need An Opt-in Form

Wouldn’t it be great for your business if you had a big list of emails and names of every person who visited to your website? This is where website opt-in forms can save the day so you don’t let any potential customers slip away.

If you didn’t know – an email opt-in form is where people who come to your website can enter their name and email address to join your mailing list.

Here are three reasons why you need an opt-in form:

1. Not everyone is ready to buy when they visit your website, but they may be willing to give their email address.

In return for a special offer (E.g. “Sign up to our mailing list to receive 30% your first order”), a visitor may be willing to give their email address. This is a soft sell and doesn’t require much commitment from the visitor. Once you have the lead you have the chance to nurture this lead by demonstrating your industry excellence, integrity and trustworthiness. By doing this you can grow a lead into a customer.

2. Most first-time visitors to your website won’t convert anyway.

Out of all the people who visit your website, only a small amount will end up making a purchase. Having an email sign-up form means that you can capture some of those missed sales because you now have their details. It’s extremely valuable to your business.

3. Once you have a sizable database, you can sell to them many times over, not just hope they buy when they go to your site.

If you get their email address, it means you can contact these people year round. It’s extremely valuable, and you have the potential to make significantly more sales compared to the business which doesn’t capture any email addresses.
